The Asia Pacific region is particularly in demand of threat intelligence, cloud security risk management, application development security, and data privacy and security skills. India is projected to have over 1.5 million unfulfilled job vacancies in cybersecurity by 2025, with the country experiencing a significant proportion of cyberattacks worldwide. As a result, several businesses are updating their internal capabilities or contacting cybersecurity organizations to fill the gap.
What caused this?
During the pandemic, the need for online services increased tremendously. This was a convenient source of money for those who did not have jobs and found it extremely hard to get by. The public is, to this day, not aware of the danger online.
Black hat hackers are those who use their knowledge of cyber security and programming to steal money, info and anything else that can be used. The percentage of cyber crimes has increased significantly during lockdowns.
